2164744 - BI performance issues on Linux system when Transparent Huge Pages (THP) is enabled

Symptom

  • Performance degradation or latency has been observed on BI platform running on Linux system where Transparent Huge Pages (THP) is enabled.
  • High overall CPU utilization is observed, and System CPU utilization (%sys) is much higher than User CPU utilization (%user).
  • Scheduling report to run now may go to Pending state for a few minutes up through 15 ~ 20 minutes before running even when there are more than enough Job Server Child slots available
