2166965 - Node 'bootstrap' failed with exit code 503 - Error while accessing secure store: File does not exist although it should..

Symptom

The SAP J2EE engine start up fails due to java instance bootstrap process aborting with exit code 503.

Looking at the following files in the work directory (/usr/sap/<sid>/<INSTANCE id>/work) we see the errors:

dev_jstart:

"*** ERROR => Node 'bootstrap' failed with exit code 503."

In Jvm_bootsrap.out files you can see the specific stack trace:

"Caused by: com.sap.security.core.server.secstorefs.FileMissingException: File "D:\usr\sap\<sid>\SYS\global/security/data/SecStore.key" does not exist although it should"
