Symptom
Some purchase orders were created through migration, and now there's an interest in adding items to them. However, this cannot be done because the option to add items is grayed out.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
- Go to Purchase Orders view.
- Select and open a Purchase Order that was created through migration.
- Select View All.
- Go to Items tab.
See that the Add Row is grayed out.
Cause
This is the expected behavior. When a Purchase Order is created using migration, it is not possible to add new items to it.
Resolution
All necessary items must be added to the migration template before executing the migration process.
As a workaround, copying the migrated Purchase Order and then deleting the original will enable the addition of items to the copied document.
