2170384 - Hiring Manager name not populated in Job Requisition created from Position - Recruiting Management

Hiring Manager field in Requisition is empty when creating a Requisition from Position Org Chart.

There are two potential reasons why the system may skip the mapping when the Rule is triggered to search for the Hiring Manager:

1. The Business Rule may have incorrect syntax for fetching the Hiring Manager.
2. The Position being used may be misconfigured and does not have any person assigned to it as an incumbent.

The fix will be different for each scenario described above:

1. Make sure that following code is added in mapping rule (we have provided the 2 accepted examples of setting this value). Please use article 2583927 - Mapping Hiring Manager role when creating job requisition using Position Org Chart in Recruiting for further information on how to set the Rule

2. 2. Check whether the Parent position has an incumbent associated:

In the Org Chart above, here we are creating a requisition from the position named President. Parent position CEO do not have any incumbent (person) assigned to it. Hence the hiring manager name will be empty in requisition form, following the Rule logic.

Since the missing Manager assigned is coming from Position, the details of its Position will need to be reviewed from Employee Central side and ajust the relationship by adding an incumbent to the parent position.
