2170419 - Unposted Source Document Error: 'Fixed Asset Name Missing, Enter Fixed Asset Name'

You have noticed an unposted source document and an error message which prevents the document from being posted. The error message is: 'Fixed Asset Name Missing, Enter Fixed Asset Name'.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to General Ledger work center.
2. Go to the Closing Cockpit view.
3. Go to Source Documents subview.
4. And search for your Source Document ID XYZ (XYZ representes the Source Document ID), in this case the Source Document is a Goods and Service Receipt.
5. Select the ID and under the Details session you can see the following error message:
   'Fixed Asset Name Missing, Enter Fixed Asset Name'.

If the prefix of your saved individual material has empty spaces then you will get this type of error message. You might have copied with empty space before the name of the material. Due to this, the Fixed Asset is not getting saved with that name.

You need to edit the Goods and Service Receipt and manually retype the Individual Material Descriptions and then save it. Now you will be able to post the document.
