2170444 - STMS Error: The transport route configuration is inconsistent

Symptom

In the initial screen (landing page) of STMS, you may get the following error.

The transport route configuration is inconsistent

When clicking "Help" (Question Mark) button on the right hand side, the message "The transport route configuration was not activated in all systems" (Message no. 0T304) appears.

In Configuration -> Distribute and Activate, it is possible to see the following message.

Configuration of the SAP System <SID> is inconsistent


The screenshot below shows how the error message is presented.

When checking more information and double-clicking the error message, the following pop-up is displayed.
