2172150 - Identity/Autoincrement Column value range exceeded for column - SAP IQ

Symptom

An UNSIGNED BIGINT column gets the following error if you insert a value larger than 9,223,372,036,854,775,807:

 Could not execute statement.
  Identity/Autoincrement Column value range exceeded for column col1.
  --
  (dflib/dfe_AutoIncrement.cxx 396)
  SQLCODE=-1000283, ODBC 3 State="HY000"
  Line 1, column 1
