2172562 - Error message 225 during INSERT/UPDATE of materialized computed column - ASE

Symptom

After loading a database that contains a table that has a computed column, when the table is updated it throws following error:

  • 1> update jTab set colB = 'Updated One_B'
  • 2> go
  • Msg 225, Level 16, State 1:
  • Server 'ASE', Line 1:Cannot run query--referenced object (name NAME NOT RECOVERABLE) dropped during query optimization
