2173281 - FINT: Leap Year Interest Calculation

Symptom

When you run the report RFDUZI00 for a given leap year, the system calculates Interest incorrectly.

Wrong, Calculation, Gregorian, Japanese calendar, vendor Interest Scale, F.44, F.47.

Reason and Prerequisites

When you have in transaction OB82 'calendar type' 'G' set, the system uses 365 days for normal and leap years to calculate Interest. This system behavior can't be changed by customizing.

Solution

Use report RFDUZI00 that has on selection screen checkbox 'leap year' and 'Calendar type' J or G.

It is highly recommended from SAP to use new report RFINTITAR (Transaction Code: FINT) which takes care of the leap year from customizing. That is when you have in transaction OB82 'calendar type' 'G' set; the system uses 365 days for normal years and 366 for leap years to calculate Interest.
