2173663 - Matrix Grid Ratings are not reflected in the Overview Portlet

• The Overview Portlet on the Scorecard show ratings that are different from the Matrix Grid Report Ratings.
• Overview portlet does not follow custom weights. 
• Overview portlet does not normalize the ratings correctly.

This issue can happen if custom weights are being used for the rating scales on the Matrix Grid Report, as the Overview portlet currently does not take the custom weights in consideration while calculating the ratings to be displayed.

In order to verify if custom weights are being used, go to Admin Tools > Succession > Matrix Grid Reports: Performance-Potential and verify if the "Custom weight" fields are being used, as in the screenshot below:

If you need to display the ratings according to a custom normalization process, the Overview portlet may not be the best option to do so, as it does not support a custom normalization process. However, there are some display options that may allow you to continue using this portlet. You can configure the Overview portlet to display Rounded or Unrounded ratings, only the label or the number and to use the Matrix Grid Rating Scale or the Rating Scale of the process. One option to resolve the issue may be to use the same rating scale from the source of the rating (e.g. that is used in the Performance Form).

Go to Admin Center > Configure People Profile > click the Overview portlet > check the "Show Rating as" options:

• Normalized Rating (Unrounded): will display the unrounded rating number according to the Rating Scale from the People Profile process. 
• Normalized Rating (Rounded): will display the rounded rating number according to the Rating Scale from the People Profile process.
• Normalized Rating (Rounded) - Labels only: will display only the rating label according to the Rating Scale from the People Profile process. 
• Normalized Rating (Rounded) - Matrix Rating Labels only: will display only the rating label according to the Matrix Grid Rating Scales. 

People Profile Rating Scale

The Rating Scale from the People Profile process, is related to the process selected in Talent Data Settings. To see this, you can go to Configure People Profile > General Settings > Talent Data Settings:

• If "All data sources" is selected, the rating scale selected in Admin Center > Reporting and Analytics > Dashboard Rating Scales > "Rating Scale for Dashboard" will be used;
• If there is a specific process selected, the rating scale from the selected process will be used;
• If the "Normalized Rating (Rounded) - Matrix Rating Labels only" option is selected on "Show Ratings as", then the Matrix Grid Rating Scales will be used.
