Symptom

  • A Webi report is created using BICS connectivity to a BEx query that has a variable and does NOT have "Details: - "Basic Settings" - "Variables Represents" - "Selection Option" defined for the variable
  • When refreshing the Webi report in the Java Rich Internet Application and entering a value "!XX" for the variable, the following error is shown:
    "System "SID". incorrect value "!XX" for data source variable "<variable name>".(WIS 00000)"
