2175930 - Error 2601 "Attempt to insert duplicate key..." when using MERGE command on an APL table - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • You are using the MERGE command to insert unmatched rows in an all pages locking (APL) table.
  • APL table is created with a unique clustered index.
  • Following error is returned:

Msg 2601, Level 14, State 1:
Attempt to insert duplicate key row in object % with unique index %
Command has been aborted
