Resolution
- Objects in Manage Data section can be searched with the value of the fields or via the associated objects fields.
- This makes it simpler for the end-users by allowing them to search the object not just with the name but with other field values that the object contains.
- In order to allow this to happen, you will need to add the required fields that you would like to make use of during the search of an object, please refer to the steps described in the KBA 2080042
The below screenshot displays how fields of Picklist, GO and FO data types and the fields from the associated objects are added in the Searchable Fields.
As highlighted in the above screenshot:
-
To add a field of Picklist data type as a searchable field, enter: <field_name>.label
-
To add a field of GO or FO data type as a searchable field, enter: <field_name>.required field name from the GO/FO
-
To add a field of the associated object as a searchable field, enter: <Name_of_GO>.required field name from the GO
