2178908 - Error Message "Check If Sol. Profile of Change Proj. in Prod. Needs Update" While Merging Change Project

You are trying to merge a change project from test to production system, but the system is raising error message "Check if sol. profile of change proj. in prod. needs update in the Merge Report."

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Access the Implementation Projects work center view.
3. Select the relevant change project.
4. Click on Open Activity List.
5. Click on Merge Changes.
6. Click on Start Merge.
7. The merge will end with status Failed.
8. Open the merge report.

After copying the change project from production to test system, you may have made some changes in the production system that were not part of the change project in test system.

Follow below steps to update solution profile in test system.

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Access the Implementation Projects view
3. Click on the link of the change project's name
4. Click the Actions button, then select Update Project from Production.
5. Click on Start Update.

Once the update is completed, you should be able to complete the merge activity successfully.
