2180159 - Time Recording Method is Set by Default as Exception-Based

You have replicated the Employee XYZ for the first time to ByDesign and in Time Profile you see that time recording method for the employee XYZ is set by default to Exception-Based (where XYZ represents the Employee)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Time Administration work center.
2. Go to Time Sheet view.
3. Select the Employee XYZ.
4. Click Open Time Sheet button.
5. Click You can also on top right corner and select Open Time Profile.
6. Click Time Profile tab > Basic Data sub tab.

You notice that for the employee XYZ Time Recording Method set by default to Exception-based.

At the time of initial hiring of employees if you don't set the Time Recording Method flag, hence the system by default consider the Exception-based method.

This is expected system behavior.

Nevertheless, you can change it manually from Exception-based to Positive via below steps.

1. Go to Time Administration work center.
2. Go to Time sheet view.
3. Select the Employee XYZ.
4. Click on Open Time Sheet tab.
5. Click on You can also from top right corner > Click on Open Time File.
6. Go to Time Profile > Basic Data tab.
7. Time Recording Method: Select radio button for Positive method.
