2181602 - How to temporarily allow global remote access by deactivating EU Access by using the Emergency Function

Symptom

  • EU Access is activated on PROD or TEST system and immediate SAP assistance is required.
  • In order to reduce impact to business operations, the empowered employee can decide to temporarily allow access to this system from countries outside of EEA/Switzerland.
  • If EU Access is activated in a business-critical situation, such as, but not limited to, a priority “Very High” case or any business-critical situation, for which remote access to PROD and/or TEST system is required.
  • Required S-User with the “Open Remote Connections” and “Deactivate Remote Access Restrictions” authorization.
