2183118 - Unknown error: Client is not available in this system, when attempting to connect to SAP BW from Lumira

• Unable to connect to an SAP BW System from Lumira.
• When attempting to connect to an SAP BW System in Lumira Desktop, it fails with an error message like:
   
  "Unknown error: Client <Client Number> is not available in this system on <System Name> sysnr <System Number>"
    
  

• SAP Lumira Desktop 1.27 and higher

1. In SAP Lumira, create a new document, and select "Download from SAP Business Warehouse"
2. In the window "Download from SAP Business Warehouse", select an SAP BW System.
3. Enter the client number, user name and password, and click "Connect"
     
   It then displays the error:
      
   "Unknown error: Client <Client Number> is not available in this system on <System Name> sysnr <System Number>"

• The client number entered for the SAP BW System selected is not valid.

• Enter a valid client number for the SAP BW System you are connecting to.
   
• To confirm the client number to use when connecting to the selected SAP BW System:
   
• Contact your SAP BASIS Administrator to confirm the exact client number to use; OR
    
• Connect to the same SAP BW System using the SAP Logon application, and it may by default show the client number to use in the login screen.
  Once you confirm you can successfully login using the SAP Logon with the client number, then use the same client number in Lumira.
       
1. Launch the SAP Logon
2. Select the SAP BW System you want to connect to, and click "Log on"
    
     
       
       
3. In the SAP Login screen, notice the Client number.
       
     
      
      
4. Enter the user name and password.
   Once you confirm you can successfully login, then use the same client number to connect to the SAP BW System in Lumira.
