2183134 - Unknown error: Connect to SAP gateway failed Connection parameters, when attempting to connect to SAP BW from Lumira

• Unable to connect to an SAP BW System from Lumira.
• Can successfully login to an SAP BW System when entering the user name and password manually.
• When attempting to connect to an SAP BW System in Lumira Desktop, it fails with the error message, if the SAP System is set to login using SNC:
    
  "Unknown error: Connect to SAP gateway failed Connection parameters:
    TYPE=A DEST=custom_<SAP System Name> ASHOST=<Host Name>
    SYSNR=<System Number> SNC_MODE=1 SNC_QOP=9 SNC_MYNAME=" "
    SNC_PARTNERNAME=<SNC Patrner Name>  PCS=1 no SAP ErrInfo available"
    
  

• SAP Lumira Desktop 1.27 and higher

1. In SAP Lumira, create a new document, and select "Download from SAP Business Warehouse"
2. In the window "Download from SAP Business Warehouse", select an SAP BW Server that uses SNC, and click "Connect"
       
   It then displays the error: 
    
   "Unknown error: Connect to SAP gateway failed Connection parameters:
     TYPE=A DEST=custom_<SAP System Name> ASHOST=<Host Name> SYSNR=<System Number>
     SNC_MODE=1 SNC_QOP=9 SNC_MYNAME=" " SNC_PARTNERNAME=<SNC Patrner Name>  PCS=1 no SAP ErrInfo available"

• The computer is not configured to connect to an SAP BW System using SNC for a 64 bit application like SAP Lumira; or
• The SAP BW Server is not configured or incorrectly configured for using SNC.

• Contact your SAP BASIS Administrator to configure SNC on the local computer for the SAP BW System required. ( 64bit )
      
• Confirm you can login successfully to the same SAP BW System from the SAP Logon that uses SNC.
       
1. Launch the SAP Logon application. 
   
   
     
2. In the "SAP Logon" window, select the SAP BW System to connect to, and click "Log On"
        
      
         
     
   The SAP Logon is a 32bit application. If it successfully login to the same SAP BW System using SNC, then it confirm it is the 64bit configuration that is either not installed, or not configured on the local computer. Contact your SAP BASIS Administrator to configure the local computer with the 64bit SNC / SSO.
