2183619 - INITPUT_PRE: Inconsistent definition of profile path in profile

Symptom

  • Software Update Manager ( SUM ) errors out in phases INITPUT_PRE or PROFREAD with the below error.
  • In DIR_PUT/log/PHASES.LOG and SAPupConsole.log you find the below errors:

4 ETQ399 Starting dialog 'Profiles' at 20150318091350.
4 ETQ399 Dialog finished at 20150318091524.
1EETQ399 Last error code set is: Inconsistent definition of profile path in profile: 'E:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\profile' != '\\<network hostname>\sapmnt\<SID>\SYS\profile'!!
1EETQ204 Upgrade phase "INITPUT_PRE" aborted with severe errors ("20150318091524")
