Symptom

  • Software Update Manager (SUM) fails with the below error in the phase TOOLVERSXML_UPG (Log File: DIR_PUT/log/TOOLVERSXML_UPG.LOG) 
    • 1EETQ399 Last error code set is: Fatal Error: Mismatch between the last tool version run and the current one: Release in kernel type cur was 7XX, now in sys it changes to 7YY. (e.7XX = 720 and 7YY = 721)
      1EETQ204 Upgrade phase "TOOLVERSXML_UPG" aborted with severe errors ("20150621095035"
  • as of SUM 1.0 SP21 phase name is MOD_SELROADMAP/TOOLVERSXML_KERNELPARAMS_ROADMAP (Log File: TOOLVERSXML_KERNELPARAMS_ROADMAP.LOG 
    • 1EETQ399 Last error code set is: Fatal Error: Mismatch between the last tool version run and the current one:
      1EETQ399XPrevious unicode setting was OFF, now it changes to ON.
