2184162 - Error 923 "User not allowed in database" when database set to dbo use only - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When one or more databases are marked as 'dbo use only'
  • With a non-privileged user
  • Running a query on the master..syslogshold sysetm table
  • Hits Error 923 returned to a client :

Msg 923, Level 14, State 1:
User 3 not allowed in database 'my_db' - only the owner of this database can access it.
