2184164 - Cannot create/edit content in JPB due to "SYSTEM_ERROR_WHILE_SYNCING" error

Get error message SYSTEM_ERROR_WHILE_SYNCING from UI when editing/creating Job Profile Content in Manage Job Profile Content.

For manual mapping:

1. Go to "Manage Job Profile Content";
2. Select "Set Up Families and Roles", for example;
3. Click on "Roles";
4. Select the Role to which you want to make changes;
5. Try to edit it or just try hitting the "Save Role" button without making any changes;
6. See the error: ???SYSTEM_ERROR_WHILE_SYNCING??? display.

For mapping via import:

1. Prepare the import file;
2. Go to "Manage Job Profile Content Import/Export";
3. Select the concerning "Type";
4. Choose the import file;
5. Hit the "Validate" or "Import" button;
6. Go to "Monitor Job";
7. Download the status and see the "???SYSTEM_ERROR_WHILE_SYNCING???" error.

The error message SYSTEM_ERROR_WHILE_SYNCING points out to a data inconsistence between JDM 1.0 and JPB.

This error usually appears after the migration from JDM 1.0 to JPB, but may also occur in other circumstances.

To troubleshoot it, content in JDM 1.0 (Provisioning) and JPB (UI) must be checked to make sure they are exactly the same.

Then, you may use the result extracted from it to confirm that the data is consistent between JDM and JPB, and in case not, please reach out to Product Support.

However, a common fix for this issue is to try hitting the affected object's association (the affected Role's Family, for example) "Save" button, to force a sync with the back-end.

So, for example, a Role is throwing this error message. Please open its Family and hit the "Save Family" button without making any changes to it, to see if that will fix the issue.
