2185847 - Mask/Unmask user ID and instructor ID on reports and notification

This article covers how to mask or unmask user and/or instructor IDs in Learning reports and notifications.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

There is a configuration in the "LMS_ADMIN" configuration entry to mask/unmask the user ID & instructor ID in reports and notifications. This information is covered in the Learning documentation: Masking User IDs in SAP SuccessFactors Learning Reports and Notifications.

Below are the steps to configure the same:

Learning admin side:

1. Proceed to Learning Administration >
2. Go to System Administration >
3. Select Configuration>
4. Go to System Configuration >
5. Click the Edit icon of LMS_ADMIN >
6. Update the below configurations (For Notifications):

• privacyActMaskEnabled.Notification.StudentID=false
• privacyActMaskEnabled.Notification.InstructorID=false
• privacyActMaskEnabled.Report.StudentID=false
• privacyActMaskEnabled.Report.InstructorID=false
• Whereas:
• False: ID will not be masked.
• True: ID will be masked.

     7.  For Reports and Notifications: You can also set the default mask that is seen in the report/notification in "LMS_ADMIN". Below is the configuration for it:

• privacyActDefaultMask=*********

Note: Default mask. Admin running the report can change it at report time.
