2186836 - Custom Shortcut Names are Set Back to their Default Values

You have renamed the Shortcuts accessible via the Business ByDesign Taskbar on the left side of your screen. When logging in, all names are set back to their default values.

1. After logging in, open Shortcuts from the Business ByDesign Taskbar on the left
2. Right-Click on any Shortcut and rename it
3. Log out of your Business ByDesign System by clicking the Log Off-Button in the upper right corner
4. Log in again, but this time choose another language than before

You will notice that your Shortcuts have default names again. Even if you log in again using your usual language, only default names are shown.

If you rename one or more of your Shortcuts in current versions of SAP Business ByDesign, a 'Change Transaction' is created for your system and its current language in your systems backend. As currently only one Change Transaction can exist, it will be overwritten by default values once you log in in another language.

As of now, this is a limitation of SAP Business ByDesign. We therefore recommend that you chose a default language and avoid logging in in another language. If you have to do so, you should take a note of your custom names for your system before, so you can set your old names again if required.
