2187721 - How to configure item-weight as required field in PM template - Performance Management

A launched Performance form can be sent to the next route map step without putting an item-weight for an individual objective, when it is expected to be required and not move unless it is entered.

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

1. Create a goal with weight in goal plan or in performance form and save it
2. Open the launched form and delete the individual goal weight within Performance document
3. Save the form and send it to the next step
4. The form is moving to the next step successfully
5. Expectation is that the form does not move to the next step

This is achievable via Admin Center => Performance Management => Manage Templates

Open the affected goal section and click on "Show advanced options"

Tick the following checkboxes:

1. Include the ability to rate (choose between rating option 0-3 - please check the Performance Management implementation guide for more information)
2. Include the ability to enter in a weight
3. "Auto populate goal weights from weights in the goal plan" or "Synchronize goals from an goal plan and a review form"  
4. Scroll down to the permissions and give field + required field permissions for item weight
