2189499 - Variable Pay for Employees with Exempt Foreign Income

Symptom

  • An employee changes from a Tax Procedure Code (where the employee was eligible for Tax) to Exempt Foreign Income:
    Variable Payments made retrospectively (relating to the period when the employee was eligible for tax), will be processed in the current 'when paid' period and treated as exempt income

  • An employee changes from Exempt Foreign Income to a Tax Procedure Code (where the employee is now eligible for Tax):
    Variable Payments made retrospectively (relating to the period when the employee was exempt from tax), will be processed in the current  ’when paid’ period and treated as taxable income.
