2189840 - ReadFile error: status 73 (Connection reset by peer) - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The ASE server froze
  • Many of the following errors are in the ASE errorlog when ASE resumed processing:

kernel  ReadFile error: status 73 (Connection reset by peer) vsn xxx
kernel  nopen: accept, Software caused connection abort

kernel ReadFile error: status 11 (Operation now in progress) vsn
kernel  WriteFile error: status 32 vsn

server  Shutdown started by user 'xxxxxxxx'. SQL text: shutdown with nowait
server  Shutdown with nowait detected - ASE process level execution bindings will be cleared on startup
