2191077 - ASE failed to checkout license from License server with lmgrd v11.11.0.0 on Solaris - SAP ASE 16.0 and SySAM 2.3

Symptom

  • The ASE server starts in grace mode after an upgrade or a new installation of ASE 16.0 SP01 PL01 on Linux 64-bit.
  • It is unable to get the license from the license server running on a Solaris using lmgrd with FlexNet version v11.11.0.0 build 105513 sun64_u9.
  • The ASE errorlog reports the following error at boot time:

SySAM: Using licenses from: 27000@<ip-address>:/sybase/SYSAM-2_0/licenses/ASE.lic
SySAM: Checked out graced license for 1 ASE_CORE (2015.12310/permanent/1819 4AC4 77DE 4AF9) will expire <timestamp>.
SySAM: Failed to obtain license(s) for ASE_CORE feature from license file(s) or server(s).
SySAM: No such feature exists. Verify that a license containing the feature name ASE_CORE is available or generate and deploy the license from the Sybase Product Download Center.
SySAM: License feature name:  ASE_CORE
SySAM: License search path:   27000@<ip-address>:/sybase/SYSAM-2_0/licenses/ASE.lic:
