2191749 - Error Message - Cost rate for resource and set of books valid on DD.MM.YYYY is missing

While posting an unposted source document  of type Sales Order, the system displays an error message 'Cost rate for resource and set of books valid on DD.MM.YYYY is missing'.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to General Ledger work center.
2. Go to the the Closing Cockpit sub view
3. Navigate to the Source Documents sub view
4. In the Source Documents select the option Unposted Source Documents in the Show view and choose the Go button
5. A list of all Unposted Source Documents will appear, select the relevant unposted source document (This error can occurs for multiple source document type)
6. While trying to post the document system displays an error message 'Cost rate for resource 'ABC' and set of books 'DEF' valid on DD.MM.YYYY is missing'

'ABC' refers to the Resource ID.
'DEF' refers to the Set of books ID.
DD.MM.YYYY refers to the Valid on date.

The Resource Cost Rate is not valid in the Set of Books ABC on the date DD.MM.YYYY
(or)
The combination was maintained, but the rate was entered as zero, which is effectively equivalent to not maintaining any actual cost rate. 

1. Go to Cost and Revenue work center
2. Go to the Master Data view
3. Navigate to the  Resources subview
4. Choose the Resource 'ABC'.
5. Select Edit button
6. Go to Valuation tab
7. Highlight the relevant Set of Books.
8. Choose the Maintain Cost Rate button.

Cost rate should be with certain value other than maintaining as zero.
