2192442 - Accessing a locked login does not indicate account is locked - SAP IQ

Symptom

If a userid has been placed in a "locked" state then subsequent login attempts will fail with a generic "Invalid user ID or password" error message like this..

[Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Invalid user ID or password
 SQLCODE=-103
 SQLSTATE=28000
Connection parameters:
 User=***
 Password=***
 Server=iqdemo16
 LINKS=ShMem
 ENC=NONE

 And in the IQ server log you may see this error ...

E. 07/14 12:18:26. Connection ID 3: Connection error '28000': Invalid user ID or password

 This can be misleading and cause confusion as it is not the fact that the userid or password is invalid, its that the userid has been placed in a locked state.
