2193737 - Error Message Value not valid for variable Partner Company

You have selected Partner Company as a variable in the selection of the G/L Accounts - Line Items report. For some values you select from the value help of this variable you immediately receive an error message:

Value XYZ not valid for variable Partner Company

(XYZ represents the Partner Company ID that you have selected from the value help)

1. Go to the General Ledger work center
2. Go to the Reports view
3. Open report G/L Accounts - Line Items
4. Open the value help for variable Partner Company (please note this variable is not shown by default - it is only shown after selection via the Add Fields button)
5. Select a value from the value help and confirm

The mentioned error message will be displayed.

Business Partner XYZ was created as a separate entity and will not be available in the Organizational Management. You can see that by going to the General Ledger work center, Partner Companies view. If you find the checkbox in column Org Unit is unticked for Partner Company ID XYZ this case document applies.

Partner Company in the selection screen of the G/L Accounts - Line Items report compares the input value with the existing org structure. When no such org unit is found it gives the mentioned error.

Use selection on variable Business Partner to retrieve data for Partner Company XYZ.
