2194690 - Error 691 "Encountered invalid logical page..." while running dbcc tablealloc on syslogs - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When running a DBCC TABLEALLOC command on the syslogs table with the "full fix" options:

use database_name
go
dbcc tablealloc (syslogs, full, fix)
go

  • The following error is reported in the ASE errorlog:

Error: 691, Severity: 20, State: 1
Encountered invalid logical page '0' while accessing database 'name_of_database' (number), object 'sysgams' (14),  index 'sysgams' (0), partition 'sysgams_value' (value).
This is an internal system error. Please contact Sybase Technical Support.
