Symptom
- $SYBASE along with datadevices / data files are accidently deleted during maintenance.
- SAP ASE (dataserver) is still up and running.
- How can the datafiles be restored without losing any data?
- The process only works on linux and unix systems with the /proc file system. Note: /proc is not available on all unix systems
