2197590 - Company XYZ not Registered in Country United Arab Emirates

You are creating a transactional document such as a sales order and receive following warning message:

Company XYZ not registered in country United Arab Emirates, define Taxnumber as Type 2

You realized then that is necessary to make the country specific tax return type maintained in Company Tax Arrangements for the UAE Tax Authority, but there is no such option.

To verify the current Company Tax Arrangement please go to:

1. Tax Management work center
2. Company Tax Arrangements view
3. Select the Company Tax Arrangement maintained for country AE - United Arab Emirates
4. Click on Edit
5. Under Tax Numbers subtab try to select any Tax Number Type. You will see that its not possible to choose a Tax Number Type.

United Arab Emirates is a special case where you don't have to maintain any tax number in the tax authority.

As UAE does not charge taxes for the transactions supported on ByDesign there is no need to maintain tax type or tax number for tax authority.

The warning message you get while creating a document in the system can be ignored.

This warning message appears only where there is no tax details maintained in the tax authority, however this warning message does not prevent you from posting any document.

System is behaving as designed.
