2198539 - Error: empty String (Error:INF) when refreshing a Webi report containing an optional BW date variable after upgrade from BI4.0 to BI4.1

Symptom

  • After upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 SP04
  • Webi report based on BEx query (using BICS connection) throws the following error when the optional prompt is left empty: "empty String (Error: INF)"

  • Report runs without any error message when selecting the current date, but only in this case
