A user uploads an image (any image file type) to SAP Jam but instead of being saved as an image it's saved as a document

Why is the image saved as a document and not an image?

SAP Jam saves images that are sized 10MB (megabyte/MByte) or larger as documents. The reason for this is that large images have to load each time they are viewed. By saving large images as documents it saves loading times. The file type will appear the same (e.g. image.png) but a document thumbnail will appear to the left of the image (now a document).

Please note:

• It will not be possible to upload a newer, smaller version of the image. The error message  "You cannot upload an image as a new version of this non-image document." will appear.
• In SAP Jam -> Content the image (now a document) will not be displayed if you filter to view images only. As the image has been converted to a document it will be displayed if you filter by type 'document'
