2201610 - Hierarchy Node Variable does not list the correct hierarchy in Lumira

Symptom

  • Incorrect hierarchy listed for the prompt.
  • Hierarchy Node Variable does not work in Lumira.
  • When selecting a value for a hierarchy prompt for the first time, it does not display the correct hierarchy.
  • When connecting to an SAP BW BEx Query in Lumira, the hierarchy node variable does not display the expected hierarchy.

Environment

  • SAP Lumira Desktop 1.27
        
  • SAP BW 7.3
  • SAP BW 7.4

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In SAP Lumira Desktop, connect to an SAP BW System.
  2. Select a BEx Query that have a hierarchy node variable. 
  3. When prompted by the variables, notice the hierarchy node variable does not display the expected hierarchy.

Cause

  • Unfortunately, this situation occurs because hierarchy node variables are not supported in Lumira when connecting to an SAP BW BEx Query.
