2202843 - Locating Log and Trace files for 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer.

Symptom

An error has occurred and logs are required to determine cause/resolution.

Environment

SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer (VEV).

Resolution

  1. Make sure the Viewer is not open
  2. Open File Explorer and navigate to the Viewer product folder in the Window Local Low Priority Application Data folder. This is located at <drive>\Users\<user>\AppData\LocalLow\SAP\SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer<version>
  3. Delete both SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer <version>.log and .trc files in the folder
  4. Start Viewer
  5. Do the required process
  6. Close Viewer
  7. Navigate to above folder and retrieve the .trc and .log files.
