2202876 - In an Opportunity the following Error Message is triggered: "With Opportunity custom status enabled, you cannot perform this action".

Symptom

You are getting an error message Opportunity custom status enabled, you can not perform this action when the status of opportunity is changed

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales work center
  2. Go to the Opportunities view
  3. Show - All
  4. Select any Opportunity
  5. Select Action Button
  6. Select the ABC Status

Error message: With Opportunity custom status enabled, you cannot perform this action / Custom Status is not valid

Cause

In an Opportunity once the custom status is used, standard status can no longer be used for changing the status of the Opportunity.

Resolution

Custom status can be changed only from the Header screen.

  1. Go to the Sales work center
  2. Go to the Opportunities view
  3. Open XYZ Opportunity
  4. Select Edit button
  5. Go to the Header screen
  6. From the Custom status field choose ABC
