2203741 - How to download an SAP SuccessFactors API SSL Certificate

This KBA provides an overview of how to download an SAP SuccessFactors API SSL Certificate.

SAP SuccessFactors Systems

There are three certificates to consider: root, intermediate and leaf. Which one you need depends on the system you are going to import it.

If you need the leaf certificate, you may follow these steps:

1. Check the API Server related to your Datacenter. You can confirm that in the Help Portal page List of SAP SuccessFactors API Servers.
2. Now confirm what SF domain it is hosted on. For example DC12 (DC33) Production API server is hosted on https://api012.successfactors.eu/, so its SF domain is "successfactors.eu".
3. Open the KBA 2533915 and download the certificate in its attachments related to the domain of your DC's API URL.
• For the example above it would be the certificate for "*.successfactors.eu".

If you need the root or the intermediate certificates, you can download them accessing the API URL in your browser and following these steps:

1. Go to the webpage of the URL for which you would want to download the certificate.
   
   
   
   
2. Once the page loads up, as this is an HTTPS site you will find the padlock icon before the URL as shown below. You can click on it and go to the page where the certificate chain is shown. The path to reach this page differs from browser to browser, let's use Edge as an example:
1. Click on "Connection is secure".
   
   
   
   
2. Click on this icon at the top.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on "Details" tab and you'll see the certificate chain.
   
   
   
   
3. On the certificate chain screen you'll be able to select the certificate you want and click on "Export" button to download it.
