2204150 - Characteristic Involved Data Source Not Available in Copied Reports

You would like to copy one of the audit reports (Balance Audit Trail, Accounts Payable - Balance Audit Trail, Accounts Receivable - Balance Audit Trail, Cash - Balance Audit Trail or Tax - Balance Audit Trail, Expense and Reimbursement Details). You notice however that the characteristic Involved Data Source is not available in the report copy. Without this field, the report does not show meaningful data.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the work center Business Analytics and select the view Design Reports.
2. Search for an audit report, for example Balance Audit Trail and click on New > Report As Copy.

Here, in the first step, you will see the warning message Characteristic 0MDAV cannot be used. It is removed from the report.

If you move on to step 3, you see that the field Involved Data Source is not available in the list.

The field Involved Data Source is unfortunately not available for customization.

NOTE: The field Involved Data source will not appear in custom joins either.

All audit reports are highly complex; for example they require a specific layout (ones that includes the Involved Data Source) to display the data properly. We would recommend not to customize them, but to use other financial reports / data sources instead.
