2206957 - Picklist does not display values in UI when viewing in specific languages

When attempting to change the value of a field that is based on a picklist, the values do not appear when logged into the UI under specific languages.

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
• SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

if the UI is set to use English as the language, the picklist data for field State in the Home Address portlet displays all the correct values. However, if user changes the language of the UI to French, this same field will not display the values, only 'No Selection'.

There are a few potential causes for this issue:

1. The values for this specific picklist (in the example used above, DEPARTMENT_FRA) does not include values for the language used in the UI.
2. The values are included in the picklist export, however they do not exist in the database.
3. The Country Specific Data Model does not include this field (or data is incorrect) for the language used in the UI

For the potential causes listed above, to resolve the issue for options 1 and 2:

1.  Export the picklists in Admin Center
2. Picklist Management.

If you have migrated your picklsits to MDF already, you check the picklists from Picklist Center. Correct the picklists for the field that has the issue, in the example above, the picklist DEPARTMENT_FRA may not have a column for fr_FR which is why no values appear when using French as the language for the UI.

This column will need to be added with the correct labels. If the data in the picklist is correct after completing the export, then it is possible the values do not exist in the database. If this is the case, re-import the picklist and then verify the issue still exists.

For option 3 listed above, please contact support for assistance as the Data Model will need to be corrected in order to resolve the issue.
