Symptom

  • SMP 3.0.x will not start. It tries to start but fails.
  • The SMP server logs do not contain any useful information.
  • The 'Start SAP Mobile Platform Server' batch file will sometimes just disappear.
  • The 'Start SAP Mobile Platform Server' batch file sometimes displays:

    The service 'SAP Mobile Platform Server' is not in a STOPPED state.
    Please ensure that the service is stopped before attempting to start it..
