2208631 - Batch Job aborts during Upgrades without details on work process trace file

While performing an Upgrade or Update in a SAP system, a phase that execute batch jobs errors out with an error message similar to the following in SAPupConsole.log:

The log file of the phase provides a little more information (PSUPDTEC.LOG on this example)

You are able to identify the work process used by the job in SM37. However, this work process trace file does not contain any information about the error.

Repeating the phase does not resolve the problem.

In SM21 you can find the only technical information about the problem, similar to the following:

This error might happen in any phase that execute background jobs.

Process is halted and you can't move on.
