Symptom

You are activating a company in Organizational Management and want to know how to set the Business Partner ID that will be created for this company.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
  2. Select the Org Structures view.
  3. Find the respective company ID.
  4. How to maintain the Business Partner ID for this Company is unknown.

Resolution

The Business Partner ID can be maintained on field Internal Business Partner ID for the respective company, as follows:

  1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
  2. Select Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks.
  3. Highlight the Org Unit, which is intended to have as a Company.
  4. Go to the General tab.
  5. Click External Business Identifiers link.
  6. Enter the Internal Business Partner ID.
