2210327 - PY-GB: Court order subtype CSDN and CMDS

Symptom

Subtypes CSD and CSDN are Child maintenance orders issued by the CSA ( Child Support Agency).

Subtype CMDS are Child maintenance orders issued by the new Child Maintenance Service.

Existing CSA court orders subtypes CSD and CSDN will eventually end by sometime in 2017 see link https://www.gov.uk/csa-changes

From sometime in 2017 all Child maintenance orders will be issued by the new Child Maintenance Service.

The court order subtype CMDS uses the constant PROTD in table V_T511K (currently delivered as 60%) to determine the protected earnings for CSA Child maintenance orders.

 - A new subtype is created for infotype 70 called CMDS. At a point of time an employee cannot have CSDN and CMDS subtype. So we can make sure that there will not be a pay period where both CSDN and CMDS subtype exists simultaneously.

- Subtype CMDS will be similar to CSDN except that it does not have field Protctd earngs and total sum. In addition to this a new field called “ Employee Reference Number” is created.

- EXAMPLE: An employee already has an existing DEO i.e CSDN record from 01.06.2020 till 31.12.9999. If employer needs to use new DEO then this record needs to be delimited and a new record with subtype CMDS needs to be created.
