2211687 - "Replace System" button is greyed out / disabled

Symptom

It is required to replace the system in an existing Analysis for Office workbook.

On File > Analysis > Settings >  Platform Settings, the button "Replace System" is greyed out (i.e. disabled).

Reproducing the Issue

  1.     Open an Analysis for Office workbook
  2.     Go to File > Analysis > Settings >  Platform Settings
  3.     Observe the the button "Replace System" is grey

Cause

The "Replace System..." button to open the dialog is enabled only if a workbook with a data source is opened but not yet connected to any of the systems.

Resolution

Make sure that the workbook is not connected to any system before trying to replace the systems.

  1. Do not refresh the data sources;
  2. Go to Design Panel > Display > Components tab > Make sure the option "Refresh Workbook on Opening" is unchecked:

However, if you are already connected, you can also try this:

  1. Right click in the [WorkbookName] > Log Off option (1) 
  2. Right click in the [WorkbookName] again > Replace System (2):
