2212545 - Too many entries on tables ALALERTDB and (or) ALALERTX

Symptom

There are too many entries (completed alerts) in table ALALERTDB and/or ALALERTX, and because of this, their actual size on disk is huge. The number of entries might even reach around 25 million in ALALERTDB.

You can confirm the situation through transaction RZ20:

RZ20 >> SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors >> CCMS elfmonitoring >> CCMS_Selfmonitoring >> Runtime >> AlertsInDB

The MTE "AlertsInDB" shows huge number of alerts.

The auto reaction method "CCMS_REORG_COMPLETED_ALERTS" (which should reorganize the table ALALERTDB) does not seem to work, even though the MTE thresholds has DEFAULT values (picture below) 10.000 for red alert.
