2213468 - Number of locks increasing above the limit - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • After dynamically changing the number of locks configuration parameter from 5 millions to 2 millions, the number of locks can still increase over 2 millions in ASE.
  • The sp_monitorconfig output shows a value higher than 2 millions for the number of active locks.
  • Configuration and Run values in sp_configure show 2 millions.
  • The ASE configuration file also shows 2 millions.
