2214284 - Cannot approve new hire or rehire for specific user in Employee Central

When attempting to approve a new hire or rehire workflow for a specific user in Employee Central you receive an application error or the following message in the final step of the workflow:

1. Add a new employee and trigger a workflow 
2. When the last approver tries to approve it an error above is faced or an application error 

or

1. Rehire an Employee and trigger a workflow
2. When the last approver tries to approve it an error above is faced or an application error  

The cause of the problem is a data issue for this specific user.

To avoid this error and complete the new hire or rehire for this user, use the following steps:

• If it is a Rehire you will need to follow these steps:
1. Go to the previous employee personal information and delete the existing phone information and email information records
2. Now approve the rehire workflow 
3. The workflow should be approved without error

• If it is a New Hire you will need to follow these steps:
1. Delete the phone information and email information for the user affected 
2. Now approve the new hire workflow
3. The workflow should be approved without error.
